Salley Vickers
Author of Miss Garnet’s Angel |
- The talk was introduced by the Rev’d Amanda Goulding. To listen again, click the ‘play’ button (grey triangle in the player bar below).
† For copyright and download information, see below. During the talk Salley Vickers refers to a church in Venice whose paintings inspired her to write Miss Garnet’s Angel: the Chiesa dell’Angelo San Raffaele. After the talk a questioner asks about Ms Vickers’ fourth novel, The Other Side of You. In her reply, Ms Vickers mentions its inspiration from a painting which, by happy coincidence, was the cover image of the May 2017 issue of St Lawrence’s parish magazine: Caravaggio’s Supper at Emmaus (1601), in the National Gallery, London.
